Electric vehicles are meant to be cost effective, whereby the batteries should be extremely efficient, and it should store enough energy to let you drive around town, without needing to stopover for a quick charge. Well, it seems that Chevrolet has been working hard to improve their Chevy Volt’s efficiency, and they recently announced that their 2013 Chevy Volt would stretch its mileage considerably.

Chevrolet announced that they will be equipping a larger battery capacity for their 2013 Chevy Volt. The larger battery would enable the electric vehicle to travel an additional 38 miles on its electric motor. The car runs on 98MPGe (up from 94) on a single tank of fuel, and its maximum range is a whopping 380 miles before requiring a stopover to recharge its batteries.
