According to Samsung, the respective DVD writer only measures 14 mm tall, which is 18 percent thinner when compared to existing conventional DVD writers in the market. Surely, Samsung wants their drives to be utilized on the upcoming Ultrabooks. Since Ultrabooks are extremely thin portable laptops, a thinner drive is required to fit inside these slim machines.
