American Airline and Alliances to Boost JAL Support PDF Print E-mail

Japan Airline suffered one of its worst performances in history, whereby the company is near to filling for bankruptcy, and with over $4 billion dollars in debt entailing the company. Nevertheless, it also seems that the American Airline and other alliances in the oneworld alliance has pledge their support to keep JAL afloat, whereby these carriers will agree to pump as much as $1.4 billion dollars, and $2 billion in revenue to help JAL stay alive. On the other hand, Rival Delta Air Lines and its SkyTeam partners have also offered $1 billion in financial aid, whereby the sum will be inclusive of $500 million in cash.

Florida Airports Gets Commercial Spaceport License PDF Print E-mail

Generally, not many airports in the country have a spaceport license, as clearly, not everyone has the luxury to travel to space. Nevertheless, it seems that the Florida airport has been granted a commercial spaceport license, whereby such license will allow the airport to be used by Virgin Galactic to ferry tourists to space. Of course, although such trips will cost $200,000 per seat, it’s still much cheaper when compared to the overall cost that is charged by other commercial space operators.

And when Virgin Galactic officially opens their door for space tourists, will you be the very first person to travel to space?

CES Show Attendance Set to Rebound PDF Print E-mail

After the 2008-2009 economic turmoil slashed through the world market, it seems that the 2010 CES is projecting a rebound in the number of attendance who will be participating in the event. Of course, this also signifies that the economy is indeed in its due course to a recovery, whereby the figures released by the country’s largest trade show signifies an amicable economic scenario. As many as 141,150 people attended the show in 2008, but the figure fell sharply to 113,085 in 2009. This year, organizers are projecting a sharp increase in the overall attendance in the show that will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Electronic Arts Lowers Sales Forecast PDF Print E-mail

Although the economy is set to recover very soon, Electronic Arts has projected a rather grim outlook for their 2010 sales forecast. In fact, the company claimed that their sales will be weak for 2010, whereby the company spokesperson has indicated that Madden football series and The Sims sales were very weak in the European market. To make things worst, the company also recorded weak sales for their games in both GameStop and Best Buy stores. Electronic Arts has reduced their profit outlook to 40 cents and 55 cents per share for the financial year that will end in March.
