Well, if you are an avid smartphone user that follows the smartphone news enthusiastically, you should know that Samsung and Apple currently are the leaders for the smartphone industry, in which both of these companies are now shipping half of the global smartphones into the market. However, the latest figures released suggest that Samsung is leading the smartphone race, followed by Apple at the second spot!
Figures released by IDC suggest that there are over 406 million smartphone units that were sold for Q2 this year, as compared to 401.8 million a year ago. Both Samsung and Apple doubled their smartphone market share, but it seems that Apple saw a quarter-over-quarter decline for Q2 this year. Other phone makers like Nokia, saw dismal performances this year, with Nokia’s Symbian and MeeGo market share declining gradually. Maybe Samsung’s SIII smartphone is extremely majestic indeed, don’t you think so?
