Panasonic 2012 Q3: $9 Billion Loss PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 05 February 2012
Looks like not every tech or electronics company is making a huge profit last year, and Panasonic is one of such companies that made a huge loss for their Q3 result. In fact, Panasonic has just released their 2012 quarterly report, in which the results tally with the sharp losses made by Sony, Sanyo and Sharp for the year.

Panasonic has disclosed that they made a quarterly loss of $9.2 billion, and market prospects aren’t that bright either, with analysts predicting that the company might incur a further loss of $2 billion at the end of their fiscal year. Apparently, Panasonic has laid blame on the recent Japanese Earthquake that damaged their supply chain, and the stronger yen has also made their products pricier, which reduces their overall competitiveness in the region. Of course, Panasonic will be restructuring their business, in order to increase their profit in the foreseeable future.
