The HP-Dell reign on the top two spots for global PC shipments is a thing in the past. Apparently, Dell’s market share has shrunk recently, which adversely affected their global rankings, whereby the company is now ranked as the third in terms of global PC sales market share. Quite surprisingly, Lenovo has overtaken Dell’s ranking, and their market share has also grown splendidly well, in which they now have a whopping 13.7 percent of the market share. Lenovo’s growth can be translated into a 36.1 percent jump from the third quarter of 2010.

On the other hand, global PC sales have increased as well, whereby the global sales have increase by about 3.6 percent, as compared to Q3 2010. Surely, HP still reigns at the top of the pie, with 18 percent of the entire PC sales market share. I just wonder how long can HP last at the top, since the company has sparked countless of management crisis over the past year. Here’s a complete overview on the top players for total PC shipped in 2010-2011.
