We’ve seen how the government uses something called the UAV or unmanned aerial vehicle on wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, but not much effort has been placed on unmanned vans. Basically, researchers called the VisLab team from the University of Parma have converted a fleet of Piaggio Porter Electric vans which are outfitted with remote driving capabilities.

On the other hand, the team plans to send these vans for an intercontinental trek, whereby it will span from Italy to China, which is a 8,000 miles feat. Also, the vans will be outfitted with several cameras, sensors, solar panels, and even lasers that will guide the vans to its destination in Shanghai, China.
