Cowon is definitely a great alternative to the iPod series, in which Cowon has already produced so many PMPs that are simply out of this world. Nevertheless, Cowon isn’t stopping just yet, and the company has disclosed their brand new X9 PMP, which is scheduled for shipping already in North America. Generally, the PMP comes with in black or white colors, and measures only 72.5mm wide, 114.9mm tall, and weighs in at 159 grams.

The X9 PMP comes with several storage size flavors, namely 8GB, 16GB or 32GB of internal flash memory, and you can further expand the storage via the microSD slot. The X9 can give you up to 100 hours of music playback, which is simply astounding indeed. Watching videos on the device has a shorter usage span, in which it can provide you 13 hours of juice. The X9 plays MP3, WMA, OGG, FLAC, APE, WAV, XviD, WMV and ASF. And as for the price, the X9 would be priced at $229.99.
