Mobile graphics have come a very long way, and ARM is one of the leading manufacturers for mobile GPUs. Just recently, ARM has unveiled yet another irresistible product into the market, which is none other than their spanking new 8-core Mali GPU. If you are a proud owner of the Galaxy S III, this particular smartphone is equipped with a quad-core Mali 400 GPU – just imagine magnifying this with a factor of 2!
ARM promised that their latest chip would be able to offer at least 50 percent more performance, with same silicon area and power draw. Also, the GPU would be able to handle 4K and even 8K video workloads too, and the GPU will also support 60fps user interfaces. We’ll be seeing more of these chips on mobile devices in the near future.
