Sunday, 05 February 2012
To tell you the truth, I have gone through numerous financial disasters in my lifetime, in which I have depleted my entire cash reserve, which created various inconveniences, such as the inability to finance my loan, to pay my bills, to pay my credit card debt, or even to pay for groceries. And with the economy forecasted to slump into recession in the near future, it’s somewhat impossible to borrow money from my peers, as they too are encumbered by financial constraints. Luckily, I found a viable financial method that allows me to extend my credit instantly, in which whenever I am running low on cash, I can simply apply for a payday loan, which promises to reimburse me with emergency cash almost instantaneously. And if you are searching for a trustworthy company that offers payday loans, make sure you consult www.webcash.com.au immediately. Motorola Wins Permanent Injunction Against Apple iCloud
Sunday, 05 February 2012
When you can’t win over your competitor – sue them! Of course, Motorola has entered into a bitter legal court battle with Apple over Apple’s iCloud system. It seems that Motorola has filed a lawsuit against Apple’s iCloud in Germany, and Motorola has just won a permanent injunction against Apple. The decision was handed down at the infamous Mannheim Regional Court, in which Judge Andreas Voss issued the respective injunction to Apple.

Motorola claimed that Apple has infringed their multiple pager status synchronization system and method that was found on the iCloud system. Apparently, the permanent injunction granted would only be applied to the German market, and not the entire Europe. Although Apple can still appeal on the decision, I’m guessing that such efforts might just be futile.

Panasonic 2012 Q3: $9 Billion Loss
Sunday, 05 February 2012
Looks like not every tech or electronics company is making a huge profit last year, and Panasonic is one of such companies that made a huge loss for their Q3 result. In fact, Panasonic has just released their 2012 quarterly report, in which the results tally with the sharp losses made by Sony, Sanyo and Sharp for the year.

Panasonic has disclosed that they made a quarterly loss of $9.2 billion, and market prospects aren’t that bright either, with analysts predicting that the company might incur a further loss of $2 billion at the end of their fiscal year. Apparently, Panasonic has laid blame on the recent Japanese Earthquake that damaged their supply chain, and the stronger yen has also made their products pricier, which reduces their overall competitiveness in the region. Of course, Panasonic will be restructuring their business, in order to increase their profit in the foreseeable future.

Hiriko: The MIT-backed, Spanish Folding EV
Friday, 03 February 2012
Let’s face it – it’s really impractical to increase the number of roads on the street, or even to increase cars on the roads, as clearly, this isn’t a practical approach to address severe traffic congestion problems. Nevertheless, there has been various approaches to address traffic standstills, and Hiriko is one of the latest efforts by MIT, in which the project is also in collaboration with Basque businesses and the Spanish government.

Basically, Hiriko is an electric vehicle, but it comes with its own bag of tricks. For instance, the bubble-esque ride is equipped with 4 independent in-wheel motors. Also, what’s even interesting about Hiriko is the fact that the car can be folded vertically, which allows the car to occupy only two-thirds of space taken by a regular vehicle. Apparently, the Hiriko will use a joystick instead of a standard steering wheel. At the moment, there are no details on range, mph, or charge speed, but 20 test vehicles have been developed so far, at a cost of $16,253 each. Here’s a good glimpse on Hiriko:

Trade Show Displays
Friday, 03 February 2012
Trade shows are normally attributed to exhibitions that showcase and demonstrate products and services for a specific industry. For instance, if you are an avid gamer, I’m confident that you must have heard of E3, or also known as the Electronic Entertainment Expo. Naturally, participating companies would set up trade show displays at the trade show, in which these displays would be outfitted with flashy designs and gigantic banners with the bid to attract prospects that are thronging the convention. On the other hand, there are many types of exhibit booths, such as the panel systems, pop-up displays, exhibit truss, hybrid exhibits, tension fabric displays, kiosks, pole systems, graphic tents, and many more.

To tell you the truth, I’m always amazed by the advertiser’s ingenuity when it comes to setting up their display booths. For instance, advertisers would setup large screens at their exhibit booths that would showcase introductory videos on their products and services. Also, advertisers would go to the extent of setting up simulators that would allow consumers to experience their products or services first hand. And to further personalize their exhibition space, advertisers would place banners, logo floor mats, table top displays, personalized table covers, literature holders, and etc, at their exhibit booths. Although it isn’t cheap to participate in business expos, the rewards that entail are usually extremely beneficial to the participating company, don’t you agree?

Nintendo Releases Quarterly Earnings Report
Friday, 03 February 2012
It’s the time of the year again, where companies declare their quarterly earnings report. And as for Nintendo, they have just released their October to December 2012 quarterly earnings report, and the outlook looks grim for Nintendo. Apparently, Nintendo has reported a 61 percent drop in profit, in which it was traditionally deemed as a strong quarter for Nintendo.

Although Nintendo suffered a massive drop in profit, the company is still operating in the green region, with reported profits of ¥40.9 billion (about $631.6 million) for Q4 last year. Nintendo attributed the drop in sales due to sagging 3DS sales, which forced the company to slash prices on the respective handheld console. On a brighter note, President Satoru Iwata has announced that they will be releasing the new Wii U console for US, Europe, Australia and Japan before the 2012 year-end holiday season.
