I find it to be rather annoying whenever a driver switches his high headlights on while driving on the freeway, as clearly the bright lights from his headlamps are blinding my vision while driving in pitch dark conditions. However, it seems that a group of Japanese auto makers have found a plausible way to allow drivers to switch on their high headlights all night long, as these headlights would create a blind-spot which would follow the position of the front car.
Generally, the headlights use an onboard camera and image processing software that tracks oncoming vehicle. Also, the headlights would be equipped with movable dousers that would deflect the light, so that it won’t bother other road users. Basically, the image software would detect oncoming cars as well as cars ahead of you, and it would move the dousers accordingly, so that the light would be deflected in specific areas.
However, there’s no information on the actual date of release for these headlights, but apparently, these headlights might be available in Japan in as early as next month. Take a closer look at the concept:

Memristors come a long way, whereby this particular technology was invented 40 years ago. Basically, memristors are dynamic transistors, whereby these chips can be used to store data, as well as performing logic operations too. However, not much attention was given to Memristors – up until recently.
It seems HP wants to make existing flash memory storage, whereby the company plans to produce revolutionary Memristors that would be replacing the respective storage solution in the near future. Basically, HP has partnered with Hynix to produce these Memristors, whereby both the companies hope to push out these products in 2013.
Although HP did not specifically detailed their Memristors endeavor, I do believe that these Memristors have huge potential in the market.

We all know that the days for the magnetic storage devices are numbered, whereby the respective storage medium is already fast approaching its storage limit. Generally, there has been development over the usage of other materials to store data, and apparently ferroelectric data storage might just be the next generation storage format to store our precious data.
According to a group of researchers from Japan's Tohoku University, the respective team of researchers has set another record for the ferroelectric data storage, whereby their latest feat has enabled them to store up to 4 trillion bits per square inch. It seems that the researchers used a pulse generator to alter electrical state of tiny dots on the ferroelectric medium, and hence this allows them to store data on the respective medium.
Do you think that ferroelectric data storage will be the next storage format?

Over the years, Zotac has created so many miniature computers for the market, and I find these mini-PCs to be truly amazing. Nevertheless, it seems that Zotac has unleashed their next-gen small form factor, and they have already named it as the Zboxes. Basically, the Zboxes will be based on Intel’s spanking new CULV CPUs, and these processors promises to consume very little electricity over usage.
On the other hand, you can opt for several types of processors for the Zboxes, namely the Celeron 743 or SU2300 CULV. Also, the Zboxes can support DDR3 RAM, and you can outfit a 2.5 inch hard drive inside as well. There’re HDMI and DVI-I ports, and the Zboxes also utilize NVIDIA’s Ion GPU too.
Well the Zotac Zboxes are set to hit the streets pretty soon, and the starting price for these mini-PCs should start at $270 for the basic version.
