Xiaomi Mi TV 2S
Thursday, 16 July 2015
Well Xiaomi certainly isn’t a mainstream TV or smartphone manufacturer, but certainly, the company is stepping on the right foot, as they are recognized as one of the fastest growing smartphone manufacturer in China and also Asia. Of course, Xiaomi recently not only manufactures smartphones, but it looks like the company has other products too, like the spanking new Mi TV 2S.

What’s interesting about the Mi TV 2S is in fact that the TV is a 4K TV and it has a very thin factor too, in which it only measures 9.9mm thick. The 48-inch TV is sold for only $485, and if you want the sound bar, the entire set would cost you $645. The Mi TV 2S also has uncompressed YUV 4:4:4 color gamut at 4K and 60fps, in which this particular feature is only available on high-end and professional grade displays. And oh, one last thing – Samsung made the panel, but the LED backlight module is by Xiaomi.

Guitars
Thursday, 16 July 2015
I have been playing the electric guitar for the past 2 decades now, and I am never going to slow down, because I just love jamming on my guitar. Well, it looks like I will be celebrating my 35th birthday pretty soon, and I’m thinking of getting a brand new guitar as my birthday present. To tell you the truth, I’m quite cash strapped this year, so I’m thinking of getting a rather economical yet good guitar. After browsing the internet searching for the right guitar, my attention is focused on musicians friend guitars. The web store sells a ton of guitars, but most importantly, they price their guitars very reasonably. Well, I have $200 to spend, perhaps getting an acoustic guitar would be a bright idea this year?

Nordstrom Curbside Pickup Service
Saturday, 02 May 2015
Don’t you just hate it having to queue up to buy things at the store – wouldn’t it be more pleasant if you can order everything online, and then pick it all up at the store later, without even having to leave the comfort of your car? Well, it looks like such concepts are slowing turning into reality, and Nordstrom is actually experimenting with their latest curbside pickup service presently.

Although not officially out yet, the company has designated the curbside pickup service at several of the retail chains locations, which also includes their Seattle flagship store. Generally, you can order online at their web store, and subsequently pickup your internet order while staying inside your car. All you need to do is to send a text message or call the store when you are near them, and a staffer will wait for you outside. There’s no telling on when this curbside pickup will become official, but I believe if they do receive positive feedback from their customers, I’m sure it will become official real soon.

Restaurant Furniture
Saturday, 02 May 2015
My wife and I have always dreamt of opening our very own restaurant that will also incorporate a special ‘dream café’ section at the corner of the joint. Of course, we have been actively discussing our restaurant venture for the past couple of years now, and we even went to survey a couple of locations for our restaurant. Part and parcel of opening a restaurant also includes the restaurant furniture, kitchen accessories, dinnerware, cups, and etc. Just the other day, I spent a couple of good hours browsing the internet for appropriate restaurant furniture, and my search has pointed me to A 1 Restaurant Furniture, which provides high quality yet cost effective restaurant furniture. Basically, I’m searching for table tops, table bases, restaurant booths, bar stools, wooden restaurant chairs, and more. To be honest, I want restaurant furniture that are durable, and can withstand heavy usages, and preferably, can be used for at least 5 years in the restaurant. But most importantly, since this is a husband and wife venture, I prefer restaurant furniture that is cost effective, so that it won’t put a serious dent to our budget.

TAG Heuer Smartwatch
Wednesday, 29 April 2015
We know that a couple of smartphone makers are already hounding on the smartwatch arena with their technology, and to name a few, I’m pretty sure you’ve seen LG’s, Samsung’s and Apple’s smartwatches which made grand debuts in the media. Well, it looks like it’s yet another logical move for a watch maker to enter the smartwatch market, and this time it’s none other than TAG Heuer.

Jean-Claude Biver, the head of TAG's parent company LVMH, has recently announced TAG’s very first smartwatch, and he mentioned that this particular piece of smartwatch would be priced lower than their conventional watches. According to him, TAG’s smartwatch would cost approximately $1,400, and would be available this October or November. Of course, with a $1,400 price tag, I’m pretty sure you’ll find it a rather good bargain, as Apple’s steel link watch would have cost you $1,000. Biver also mentioned that the TAG smartwatch has 40 hours of battery, which is close to 2 days of usage.

Mens Cowboy Boots
Wednesday, 29 April 2015
Although I don’t normally wear cowboy boots, but I do adore these beautiful boots, as I find the entire design to be truly aesthetic indeed. Nevertheless, my uncle collects men’s cowboy boots, and he has a gigantic collection which he treasures dearly. He has been collecting men’s cowboy boots for the past 40 years now, and he pampers his cowboy boots occasionally by polishing them almost on a daily routine. Basically, I like cowboy boots that come with a rather classic design, and comfort is yet another important factor too, as I only wear comfortable boots when I go out. Just the other day, I tried shopping for some cowboy boots online, and I stumbled on Eli's Mens Cowboy boots. Generally, I can purchase a pair of basic cowboy boots for $100 or so, and the ones with flashier designs often go for $200 and above. To be honest, I like cowboy boots that are black in color and with minimal design. Well, I am looking to get a pair of black cowboy boots for my upcoming birthday, and I’m hoping to get a pair for a $100 bucks or so.

Uber Offices Raided in France and South Korea
Wednesday, 18 March 2015
Uber – the rising star in personal transportation services, is once again under siege, and this time isn’t not just in one country but two! Uber’s offices in Paris, and Seoul was recently raided by the police, and according to reports, the South Korea raid was more serious, when compared to its Paris counterpart.

In fact, Seoul police has charged the company’s brand manager, employees and drivers for breaking the nation’s transport laws. Apparently, they have previously declared Uber’s services to be illegal and they even vowed to ban it. And to top things even further, they have even issued a warrant of arrest for Uber’s CEO Travis Kalanick, and rewards are offered for anyone who reported on this service. The company is also being probed for claims that it has failed to register its car-hailing app under South Korea’s wireless regulators.

WD 100 DL Reviews
Wednesday, 18 March 2015
I’m not much of a guitar expert, but I have been playing my trusty old guitar for the past 10 years now, and it has never failed me. Well, it seems my best friend’s son would like to take up some guitar lessons, and my friend asked me for some suggestions for a starter guitar that his son could use for his guitar lessons. After performing some research for a good starter guitar, it looks like these WD 100 DL reviews nailed it. Washburn guitars have been around for quite some time now, and based on my research, it is indeed a trusted guitar brand. Washburn makes some good starter guitars and these are priced very affordably too, which I think is perfect for my best friend’s son.

PlayStation 4 And Vita Arrive In China
Thursday, 11 December 2014
Sony cheekily announced that they are sorry for being late when it comes to placing their PlayStation 4 and Vita in the Chinese market, as clearly, these devices were previously banned in China by the government. According to sources, consoles were banned due to the adverse effects that it might bring to their citizens, as I’m sure you’ve heard of game addictions around the world, which isn’t really healthy at all.

Nevertheless, Sony has promised to provide healthy games that are suitable to China’s national conditions, and these games would be relevant to the government policies too. The PlayStation 4 and Via will be available on January 11th 2015, and will cost 2,899 and 1,299 yuan respectively (about $470 and $210), which is considerably cheaper than the Xbox One’s price tag of 3,699 yuan sticker ($600 sans Kinect).
